The first heterogeneous nucleation theorem including line tension: Analysis of experimental data

Abstrakt

We have incorporated the concept of line tension in the derivation of the first nucleation theorem in the case of a one-component system. The derivative of the critical cluster formation energy still gives the total number of the molecules in the cluster: the sum of the number of molecules in the bulk liquid and the number of molecules along the three-phase contact line.
